What is Swaddle Easy?
Swaddle Easy by Nolele is a magnetic swaddle sack for babies 0 to 3 months. It closes with quiet magnets instead of blanket folding or Velcro.
Who makes it?
Nolele, Inc., a small family baby company in Fridley, Minnesota, founded by Oge Edward, a dad of three. Nolele means "no worries."
How much does it cost and where can I buy it?
$65 USD at nolele.com. Orders ship from Minnesota in 1 to 3 business days. US shipping is free over $100. Unworn, unwashed items can be returned within 30 days.
What sizes and colors are there?
- Sizes, picked by weight: Newborn 5–8 lb, Small 9–12 lb, Medium 13 lb and up
- Colors: Cream, Light Pink, Sage Green, Sky Blue
See the size guide for body length and chest width.
What is it made of?
1.0 TOG fabric, with a bamboo body and lining and a cotton front panel. Your baby wears just a diaper underneath.
How does the magnetic closure work?
Each sleeve ends in a built-in mitten with a magnet pouch. Each magnet sits in a small cup sealed in PVC and sewn between fabric layers. The cup is magnetic only on the side facing away from your baby, and the magnet never touches skin. Fold the mitten over and it closes on the chest in one of three hand positions: up, in between or down. Each mitten closes on its own. How the magnetic closure works.
What else does it do?
- Two-way zipper: opens from the bottom for diaper changes while the arms stay swaddled.
- Fold-back mittens: hands out for feeds, burping and play while your baby is awake and watched.
- Strollers, bouncers and swings: harness straps pass through a pocket between the legs, for supervised awake time only.
Is it safe?
Swaddle Easy is third-party tested to CPSIA requirements. Nolele's safe-use rules:
- Place your baby on their back on a firm, flat surface for every sleep, in an empty crib or bassinet.
- Hands in (mittens folded over) for every sleep. Hands out only while your baby is awake and watched.
- Stop swaddling at 3 months or at the first signs of rolling, whichever comes first.
- Not for use in car seats.
- Check the seams and pouches before each use. Stop using it if a seam is torn or a magnet pouch is damaged.
- Keep it away from pacemakers and other implanted medical devices.
Is it patented?
Yes. The magnetic swaddle design is protected by U.S. patents, with more applications pending. See the patent page.
How do I wash it?
Close the magnets first, then machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
